Hi, I'm having some issue with Super Robot Wars 30 game running horribly on Endurance Mode after adding the game manually to Intel Graphic Software Profiles. It's working fine on Performance Mode so I can't figure out why Endurance Mode feels very sluggish even though it's not that cpu/gpu intensive.
The only solution I had was to remove this game from IGS profile and let it run without restriction or set it under Performance Mode. I wasn't able to let IGS scan any games either after upgraded from Intel Graphic Command Center hence the game profile added manually.
System that I use:
MSI Claw A1M 044
Intel Core 5 Ultra 135H
16GB RAM
Intel ARC Graphics
Also attached bug report and SSU with this post. Thanks

Hi, Shinku.
Thank you for posting in our Community. Let’s work through a few potential causes, suggested remedies, and gather additional details to isolate the root issue. Endurance Mode is designed to cap GPU clocks and power consumption to extend battery life. Even for games that aren’t highly demanding, this throttle can become noticeable, especially if the default power‐limit curve for SRW30 is overly conservative.
- Which exact Intel ARC driver version are you currently using?
- What is the average FPS you observe in Endurance Mode versus Performance Mode?
- Do you notice any stuttering or frame drops, or is it purely a lower‐FPS feel?
- Are you running on battery or AC power when testing Endurance Mode? I think sluggishness can be more pronounced on battery due to stricter power constraints.
- If a profile was created automatically, did you notice any default power or clock limit values that seem too low?
Have a nice day!
Best regards,

Hi and thanks for getting back,
To answer your question,
1. On driver version 32.0.101.6874
2. Display FPS on Endurance Mode is 30 FPS while Performance Mode is 60 FPS
3. lower FPS feel. Very sluggish like it's not even 30 FPS
4. Tried both on battery and AC power. Even prevalent on battery since it kicks to Endurance Mode automatically if I have the game profile On.
5. Profile was created manually. No I didn't see the clock value drop too much. Base clock is 3.6Ghz. While running the game, both Endurance and Performance Mode reported the same clock speed around 1.7~1.9Ghz for CPU. Intel Graphics Software unable to detect any games/app by itself automatically but older Intel Graphic Command Center was able to scan and detect games before.

Hello, Shinku.
I see that the performance degradation in Super Robot Wars 30 under Endurance Mode is not due to a significant drop in CPU frequency or system resource constraints, but rather may be tied to how the Intel Graphics Software (IGS) is currently managing manual game profiles and power states.
I understand your concern, especially considering that the game isn’t inherently demanding. The behavior you're experiencing may stem from the current power/performance balancing logic implemented in IGS when Endurance Mode is engaged, particularly with manually created profiles. Could you please provide CapFrameX data for this game? This will allow me to analyze performance metrics in more detail and identify any potential issues. Ideally, please share a CapFrameX file that includes at least 5 minutes of gameplay.
Best regards,

Hi,
I've provided the CapFrameX data for both in Endurance Mode and Performance Mode. Sorry it's not 5 minutes long as it's pretty noticable from launching the game alone. I'll include the 5 minutes long version should you request it in next reply

Hello, Shinku.
Thank you for providing the CapFrameX data for both Endurance and Performance Mode. The initial data is helpful, especially if the issue is evident from launch. However, to ensure a thorough analysis and consistent baseline, I kindly ask that you provide a 5-minute capture for both modes as well. This will help me better assess performance trends beyond the launch phase.
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello, Shinku.
Thank you for providing the gameplay data for both Endurance and Performance modes, each with at least 5 minutes of capture. This is exactly the information I need to proceed with a more detailed analysis. I appreciate your time and effort in gathering this data. I’ll begin reviewing it and follow up with any findings or next steps shortly.
In the meantime, I will need to do further research on this matter and post the response on this thread once available.
Best regards,
