Dear community
We use Intel EMA to configure our endpoints to admin control mode. When the notebooks are shut down, AMT will get an ip from a dhcp server and connect to a network which allows traffic to the swarm server without authenticating on the network (without 802.1x). The endpoints connect with CIRA and can be started remotely from EMA web application.
When Windows starts up, Windows will authenticate on the network using a ceritificate and the new ip address will be from a differnt network.
For quite some time AMT continues to send ARP-requests with the old sender ip address, which poses a problem for our network configuration. In Windows, the old ip address isn't visible. Windows only knows of the new address from the authenticated network.
Is there a way/tool/command to make AMT forget the (old) ip address and use the new one exclusivly? Or timers to set to shorter values to make this happen faster automatically?
Using ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew in Windows does work, but causes a short network disruption for the operating system and applications. We would prefer only to target the AMT firmware.
Now, I know we could configure AMT to use network authentication as well, but this has caused problems in the past and we prefer a solution with an unauthenicated network, since we need that anyway.
Our EMA server is on version 1.12.2.0 but could be updated if need be. The endpoints are on firmware 16.1.35.2557.

Hello JRüeg,
Greetings!!
There is currently no supported command or tool to force only the AMT firmware to immediately release or renew its DHCP address without affecting the OS. The recommended approach is to enable AMT-host IP synchronization for wired interfaces, but even then, changes may not be immediate and may not resolve all cross-network scenarios. Otherwise, you must rely on DHCP lease expiry or manual reprovisioning via EMA.

Hello JRüeg,
Greetings!!
To proceed with the configuration of your EMA environment, could you please provide the following details:
- SQL Server version
- Operating System version of the server
- Location of the SQL Server and EMA Server (Physical or Virtual)
- Will the SQL Server and EMA Server be hosted on the same machine?
- Authentication mode to be used: Local, Azure AD, or Windows AD
- Number of endpoints to be provisioned
- Are the endpoints and the EMA server located in the same network, or in different networks?

Dear Vishal
Our EMA environement is already configured and working.
We have trouble with the behaviour of the clients because we use network authentication in Windows but not in AMT, so the clients are in different subnets when windows is started but there is still some communication from AMT on the network AMT uses when Windows is off.
I am asking for a way to release/renew the AMT ip on the client after Windows booted.
Not sure if this will provide any relevant infos, but here the answers to your questions:
- SQL Server version
Microsoft SQL Server 2022 - Operating System version of the server
All servers are Windows Server 2022 - Location of the SQL Server and EMA Server (Physical or Virtual)
All virtual servers, in differnet subnets with the requiered ports opened on the firewall - Will the SQL Server and EMA Server be hosted on the same machine?
No it is on different machines - Authentication mode to be used: Local, Azure AD, or Windows AD
Windows AD - Number of endpoints to be provisioned
We currently have 6800 endpoints provisioned - Are the endpoints and the EMA server located in the same network, or in different networks?
Different networks, with the required ports opened
